UPDATED: AUSTIN, TX -- The Art is Alive Film Festival have postponed their 5th annual event to screen the live-action animation of 'The Great Moving Adventure' to Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 1:55pm CST. The screening will be followed by a virtual Q&A session with the co-creator Trevor Romain and award-winning journalist, media personality and founder of The Art is Alive Magazine Cindy Mich. Co-created by World Class Coaches and The Trevor Romain Company, 'The Great Moving Adventure' presents author Trevor Romain who sends animated character Darryl on an adventure he won't forget. Darryl, upset that he has to move to a new state, learns moving can be a fun experience. With the help of Jack and Skye, Trevor's two animated sidekicks, Darryl realizes that moving presents a wonderful opportunity to find new friends and how to keep in touch with his old friends. He also learns some practical strategies to help him once he arrives in his new town.
"One of the hardest things for children is moving. Adults underestimate how traumatic moving can be, even if it's just moving across town, let alone across the country, or the world, for that matter. I am thrilled that the 'Great Moving Adventure' has been selected for the 2021 Art is Alive Film Festival because I believe this informative and entertaining little movie not only helps kids deal with moving, but also helps them understand, and manage, other difficult transitions in their lives." - said Trevor Romain, President of the Trevor Romain Company. Starring in the video includes Skye (voiced by Anna Reyes), Darryl (voiced by Satchel J. Selden), and Jack (voiced by Eli Black, son of Austin Chronicle co-founder and co-owner Louis Black). Loris Kramer Lunsford ("StarBeam", "Supernoobs"), Fred Miller, Woody and Ronda Englander, as well as Carl Thiel ("Seis Manos", "Alita; Battle Angel") produced the the live-action animation associated with the award-winning series of 'The Trevor Romain Show' that was featured on PBS. The film festival was originally scheduled to take place in a hybrid format in New York City and virtually on November 13 -14, 2021. The remaining programming has been rescheduled for Wednesday, December 8 and 9, 2021. More information about the event can be found at: https://artisalivefilmfestival.weebly.com/
