Trevor Romain to Address Boys and Girls Club Conference in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , Germany

Austin , March 11, 2010 — Author, illustrator and child advocate Trevor Romain will work with youth workers and deliver the keynote address at the Boys and Girls Clubs of America Europe Impact Conference, in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , Germany , from March 15th to the 19th.  

The three-day conference is a regional Boys & Girls Clubs of America training seminar at which Trevor will talk about his international work with children and teens. Trevor will also discuss the Trevor Romain Foundation's recent release of the With You All the Way! deployment kit designed to support families with children who have a family member deployed with the U.S. Military.

The deployment kits were designed to address the special needs of children who have a deployed family member. The kit features kid-friendly postcards that can be mailed to a deployed enlisted person, an interactive journal with activities and writing prompts, a set of keepsake dog-tags, a stuffed animal named Cuzzie™, and the DVD, With You All the Way! Dealing With Deployment - an animated movie that provides children with information and advice during a family member's predeployment, deployment, and reintegration.

The With You All the Way Deployment Kit is designed to support families with children ages five years and older that have a family member deployed with the US Military.
